About Sabrina

Born in Muncie, Indiana, Sabrina Swayder spent most of her youth in the cultural Mecca of New Orleans, Louisiana. Sabrina consi ders herself a visionary artist with an interest in mysticism and spirituality. Her parents both came from creative and innovative backgrounds, her Father being a sculptor, painter and Art Professor and her mother studying and teaching Ballet for many years.
 
After training with The School of The New Orleans Ballet, Sabrina was accepted into the Joffrey Ballet School in New York City in 1986 where she trained for several years before moving to Lisbon, Portugal to dance with the Portuguese National Ballet. In 1991, Sabrina moved to Schwerin , Germany , to become Principal dancer with the Staatstheater Schwerin Ballet where she danced the part of Juliet in Romeo and Juliet, as well as several roles that were created specifically for her.
 
After retiring from her career as a Ballet Dancer, Sabrina focused her attention on Wearable Art. Sabrina began by personalizing jeans clothing for her friends and was met with enthusiasm. Over time, Sabrina’s hobby expanded into a profession in which her fun, innovative and creative ideas are being well received by a wider audience. Wearing Sabrina Jeans is a fun as well as interactive experience as many people tend to compliment and interact with the wearer. In creating this clothing line Sabrina, continues to touch and inspire others through her creativity.
